IV Edition of the Summer School on “Innovation in social research strategies”

organized in partnership with the Methodological Section of the Italian Sociological Association, to be held on June 3rd- 4th, as a combined event of the Annual Meeting of the (EU) SSSI.

This short but intense Summer School continues the commitment of the Italian Association of Sociology – Methodology Section, in offering opportunities for knowledge and in-depth study for all those who are engaged in empirical research activities, in particular for PhD students and young researchers.

In 2024, the Summer School will be held within the framework of the Annual Meeting of the Society for the Study of Symbolic Interactionism (SSSI).

The Summer School will be an opportunity to deepen the understanding of the Grounded Theory’s contribution to the development of qualitative methods, and its coherence with the theoretical and methodological heritage of Symbolic Interactionism will be highlighted.

The Summer School will include lectures by well-known scholars in the field of Grounded Theory and qualitative methods. Particularly, the afternoon sessions on Friday 4th, will be dedicated to an open dialogue between the participants and the speakers (and other scholars), in which it will be possible to deal with specific issues related to the research project developed by the participants themselves.

Therefore, those who will participate are invited to prepare questions to be asked to the speakers, so that there can be concrete effects on their research projects.
